I've always wanted to have one and deciding between a Model 80 vs. Model 100. I am checking out a 1992 Land Cruiser with 240K miles. It's advertised with a FJ80 engine. In my research, most people say go with the FZJ80 engine since it has more horsepower and slightly better gas mileage. Is this true? I’m not sure I agree with the 80 series being so much better than the 100, since the latter is better in every way except for rock crawling, which was never really the forte of a full size Land Cruiser anyway. Actually the 200 series has alot of improvements in the offroading department , when you compare it to the 100 series. ( It has a tougher frame, bigger diffs and a stronger front end ) The 200 series with KDSS has the best stock articulation out of all the Cruisers ever produced, if i'm not mistaken. GEKW.
